African Turquoise is the trade name for a jasper that is mined in Africa. It has a coloration and matrix structure very similar to that of turquoise. The color of these ranges from light aqua to deep turquoise and is intermixed with a matrix of rich chocolate brown. These African turquoise beads possess a rich, smooth luster when polished.
Metaphysically, African Turquoise is called a ‘Stone of Evolution’ because it encourages growth, development and positive change. It is associated with the third eye chakra.
